Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic TLD is the single TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level names remained online.

Through our company, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no special rules on who can obtain a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
